The delay between working and getting paid can be agonisingly long. So as well as issuing invoices on contractors′ behalf, we chase up late payments. Being paid a regular salary like an employee means you won′t need to pay liability tax in a lump sum every January. Nor will you need, potentially, to pay 50% upfront for the following year, as you might do if you were in a composite company partnership.
